In Loving Memory

Of

A wonderful Husband

Tom and Diane

Mum and Dad

Were married 30/1/1991

Which was also dad's birthday

Dad had told mum that when she wanted to get married

to just give him "the nod"

That was dad all over the cheeky chappy

so on 30/1/1991 mum gave dad "the nod"

They had a very happy marriage and were very much in love.

I wrote your name in the sand

but the wave's washed it away

I wrote your name in the sky

but the wind blew it away

I wrote your name in my heart

and forever it will stay

A BRIDGE CALLED LOVE

It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.
And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.
There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us
It's the bridge that we call love.
~~Author Unknown

Should you go first and I remain
to walk the road alone,
I'll live in memories garden dear,
with happy days we've known.
In spring I'll wait for roses red,
when faded, the lilacs blue.
In early fall when brown leaves fall,
I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first and I remain,
for battle to be fought.
Each thing you've touched along the way
will be a hallowed spot.
I'll hear your voice, I'll see your smile,
though blindly I may grope,
The memory of your helping hand
will buoy me on with hope.
Should you go first and I remain,
one thing I'll have you do:
Walk slowly down that long long path,
for soon I'll follow you.
I want to know each step you take,
so I may take the same.
For someday down that lonely road
you'll hear me call your name.

It's sad to walk the road alone

Instead of side by side

But to all there comes a moment,

When the way of life divide

You gave me years of happiness,

Then came sorrow and tears

But you left me beautiful memories,

I will treasure through the years.

A Daily Thought

A Constant Tear

A Silent Wish

That You Were Here

I will treasure though the years.

Your loving wife

Our Anniversary

Patience Strong

This is the happy day that means

so much to you and me.

The milestone of our memories,

our anniversary.

The day on which we two

set out towards our promised land-

Pledged to take the winding

road together hand in hand.

Time has brought it's changes

many storms have rolled above-

But all the clouds have never

dimmed the sunshine of our love

So may we continue till the

last hill we ascend-

Good companions on life's journey;

Sweethearts to the end.

Dad's Valentines Day card to mum

Dad was very ill on his last valentine's day on earth

but he insisted on getting mum something

for valentine's day.

He brought her a cup which she treasures

it was always the little things that as parents

they both taught us to treasure.

I can still hear dads words to this day

warning mum that he was chosing her a gift

so as not to ruin her suprise.

A little voice from nowhere could be heard

"Di I haven't got you present yet"

Dad's Christmas Card to Mum

To a special wife at christmas

How could I ever tell you

What's deep inside my heart,

By sending these few lines in a card,

Only begins to make a start.

Just to wish you merry christmas

Really wouldn't do.

You bring me joy each yuletide

That last the whole year through.

The gift i'd like to share

With youthe most,this christmas time,

Is to tell you one again

How much it means that you are mine.

My love is yours as always

Everyday throughout my life

I know I had the greatest gift

When you became my wife.

In loving memory of loving husband Tom

Until we meet again

You will stay forever in my Heart

Promise me you'll wait for me

I love you

Diane
